1. About Bloomsmith
Bloomsmith is a pre-order floral studio creating seasonal, design-led flowers for signature arrangements, business flowers, subscriptions and intimate private events.
Our flowers are made to order from the studio. We operate primarily by appointment, with studio collection available for selected bouquets and arrangements. Limited local delivery may be available on selected days and is arranged separately.
We do not operate as a same-day delivery florist unless this has been specifically agreed in writing.
2. Seasonal Nature of Flowers
All Bloomsmith designs are created using seasonal flowers, foliage and natural materials.
Images shown on our website, social media or marketing materials are examples of our style and previous work. Due to seasonality, availability and the natural variation of flowers, your arrangement may not be identical to any image shown.
We reserve the right to make suitable substitutions where a flower, foliage, vessel, material or colour tone is unavailable. Any substitutions will be made in keeping with the overall style, quality and value of the design.
3. Signature Arrangements and Bouquets
Signature arrangements and bouquets are made to order and require advance notice.
Unless otherwise stated, we require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for standard signature bouquets and arrangements. Larger arrangements, vessel designs or more specific requests may require additional notice.
Orders are subject to availability and are only confirmed once payment has been received or written confirmation has been issued by Bloomsmith.
4. Studio Collection
Studio collection is available by appointment only.
Customers must collect their order during the agreed collection window. Once flowers leave the studio, Bloomsmith cannot be responsible for damage caused during transport, incorrect handling, heat, cold, lack of water, unsuitable placement or delayed onward delivery.
Customers are responsible for ensuring they have suitable transport for their flowers. Larger arrangements and vessel designs should be transported carefully and kept upright at all times.
If an order is not collected during the agreed collection window, the flowers will be held where reasonably possible. However, due to the perishable nature of fresh flowers, we cannot guarantee freshness beyond the agreed collection time and no refund will be issued for uncollected orders.
5. Delivery
Bloomsmith is primarily a collection-led studio. Limited local delivery may be available on selected days and for selected orders only.
Delivery is not guaranteed unless it has been agreed in writing and paid for where applicable.
Delivery charges are quoted separately and depend on location, order size, timing and logistics. Delivery for larger arrangements, business flowers, subscriptions and private events may be fulfilled by Bloomsmith, a trusted assistant, courier, taxi or third-party transport provider.
The customer is responsible for providing the correct delivery address, recipient name, contact number and any access instructions. Bloomsmith is not responsible for failed delivery where incorrect or incomplete information has been provided.
If the recipient is unavailable, we may, at our discretion, leave the flowers in a safe place, with a neighbour, at reception, or return them to the studio. Additional delivery attempts may incur an extra charge.
6. Business Flowers
Business flower services are available for local businesses, hospitality spaces, clinics, studios, salons, boutiques, offices and other commercial settings.
Business flowers may be arranged weekly, fortnightly, monthly or on another agreed schedule.
The scope of the service, including design style, budget, delivery or collection arrangements, vase hire, installation and maintenance, will be agreed in writing before the service begins.
Payment terms for business flowers will be agreed individually. Bloomsmith reserves the right to pause or cancel the service if invoices are unpaid.
Where vase hire or reusable vessels are provided, they remain the property of Bloomsmith unless otherwise agreed. Lost, damaged or unreturned vessels may be charged to the client.
7. Subscriptions
Flower subscriptions are available by agreement and may be offered for homes, businesses or regular gifting.
Subscription frequency, budget, delivery or collection arrangements and start date will be agreed before the subscription begins.
Subscription flowers are seasonal and florist’s choice, created in Bloomsmith’s signature style.
Subscription payments must be made in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing.
To pause, amend or cancel a subscription, please give a minimum of 7 days’ notice before the next scheduled order. If flowers have already been ordered, sourced or prepared, the next subscription order may still be chargeable.
8. Private Events
Private event flowers are quoted individually according to the scale, location, date, design brief, flower selection, mechanics, labour, delivery, installation and collection requirements.
A booking is not confirmed until the agreed deposit or booking fee has been paid.
For private events, delivery, installation, setup, breakdown and collection are quoted separately unless clearly included in the proposal.
Changes to the design brief, guest numbers, location, timings or scope of work may affect the final price.
Bloomsmith reserves the right to make seasonal substitutions where specific flowers or materials are unavailable, while maintaining the agreed overall style and quality of the event flowers.
9. Event Deposits and Payments
Private events may require a non-refundable deposit or booking fee to secure the date.
The remaining balance must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice or proposal. If payment is not received on time, Bloomsmith reserves the right to pause preparation or cancel the booking.
For larger events, additional staged payments may be required.
10. Event Cancellations
If a private event is cancelled by the client, the following may apply:
The booking fee or deposit is non-refundable.
Any flowers, vessels, materials, mechanics, labour, transport or third-party costs already purchased, booked or committed may remain payable.
Cancellations made close to the event date may be charged in full where flowers and materials have already been ordered or work has commenced.
Where possible, Bloomsmith may offer to transfer part of the payment to a new date, subject to availability and any costs already incurred.
11. Changes to Orders
For standard bouquets and signature arrangements, changes must be requested as early as possible.
We will do our best to accommodate changes, but this cannot be guaranteed once flowers have been ordered, sourced or prepared.
For private events, all changes must be confirmed in writing. Significant changes may require a revised quote.
12. Cancellations and Refunds
Fresh flowers and bespoke floral designs are perishable and made to order. For this reason, orders cannot usually be cancelled, returned or refunded once flowers have been ordered, sourced, prepared or dispatched.
For standard signature bouquets and arrangements, cancellation requests made at least 48 hours before the agreed collection or delivery date may be considered at Bloomsmith’s discretion.
For larger arrangements, business flowers, subscriptions and private events, cancellation terms may vary depending on what has already been ordered, prepared or committed.
Refunds will not be given for change of mind, personal preference, minor natural variations, seasonal substitutions, incorrect care after collection or delivery, or failure to collect during the agreed collection window.
This does not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, not as described or not supplied with reasonable care.
13. Quality Concerns
We take great care to provide fresh, high-quality flowers.
If you are unhappy with your flowers, you must contact Bloomsmith within 24 hours of collection or delivery, providing clear photographs of the flowers and packaging.
Due to the perishable nature of fresh flowers, we may not be able to assess quality concerns raised after this period.
Where we agree that flowers were faulty or not supplied to a reasonable standard, we may offer a replacement, partial refund or other suitable resolution at our discretion.
14. Flower Care
Fresh flowers are delicate and require appropriate care.
Customers are responsible for following any care guidance provided. Flowers should be kept away from direct heat, strong sunlight, draughts, ripening fruit, smoke and extreme temperatures.
Vase water should be changed regularly, stems should be recut where appropriate, and flowers should be placed in a clean vessel.
The lifespan of flowers varies depending on variety, season, environment and care.
15. Allergies, Toxicity and Safety
Some flowers, foliage, berries, bulbs, seeds, sap and other natural materials may be harmful or toxic if ingested by people or animals.
Customers are responsible for keeping flowers and arrangements away from children and pets where necessary.
Please notify Bloomsmith before ordering if there are specific allergy, pet safety or household concerns. While we will do our best to advise, we cannot guarantee that any floral product is allergen-free or pet-safe.
16. Vessels, Mechanics and Hired Items
Some arrangements may include vessels, bowls, vases, stands, mechanics or other reusable items.
Where an item is sold as part of the arrangement, this will be made clear.
Where an item is hired or loaned, it remains the property of Bloomsmith and must be returned by the agreed date and in good condition.
Lost, broken, damaged or unreturned hired items may be charged to the client at replacement value.
17. Photography and Marketing
Bloomsmith may photograph completed floral work for portfolio, website, social media and marketing use.
For private homes, events or business premises, we will aim to avoid sharing sensitive personal information without permission.
If you do not want your flowers, event or venue photographed or shared, please let us know in writing before the order or event date.
18. Prices and Payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling.
Prices may vary according to flower availability, season, design complexity, scale, delivery, installation and other logistics.
Orders must be paid for in full before collection or delivery unless otherwise agreed.
Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote. If no period is stated, quotes are valid for 7 days.
Bloomsmith reserves the right to update prices at any time.
19. VAT
Where applicable, VAT will be charged in accordance with UK VAT rules.
If VAT applies, this will be shown on the invoice or at checkout.
20. Force Majeure
Bloomsmith will not be liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control. This may include severe weather, illness, transport disruption, supplier failure, flower shortages, accidents, venue restrictions, power issues or other unexpected circumstances.
Where such events occur, we will do our best to find a reasonable solution, but refunds may not be available where costs have already been incurred.
21. Liability
Bloomsmith’s liability is limited to the value of the order placed, except where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.
We are not responsible for indirect loss, loss of profit, business interruption, emotional distress, damage caused by incorrect handling, or issues arising after flowers have been collected, delivered or installed unless caused by our negligence.
22. Website and Product Information
We aim to keep website information accurate and up to date. However, errors may occasionally occur.
Bloomsmith reserves the right to correct errors, update product details, amend prices, withdraw products or refuse orders where information has been listed incorrectly.
23. Privacy
